Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is on the final leg of his blockbuster Dil-Luminati India tour. He recently performed in Chandigarh on Saturday and gave a befitting reply to his haters and troublemakers in style with the trending dialogue of Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2.
Diljit Dosanjh rules the stage, saying, ‘Jhukega nahi saala”
The video of him digging at his haters amazed the crowd. In the clip, Diljit referred to Allu Arjun’s film Pushpa. He asked the audience, “Do you know the film Pushpa? I watched the first part, and it’s really nice. There is this famous dialogue in it, Jhukega nahi saala. Ab saala nahi jhukega toh kya jija jhuk jayega?”
After his Dil-Luminati Tour sparked numerous controversies around the country, Diljit made his remark. It all started when the Telangana government banned his songs with references to alcohol and violence in ahead of his Hyderabad concert. Later, the Bajrang Dal demonstrated against his Indore performance, demanding that alcohol and non-vegetarian food not be sold in the open.
Also before his Chandigarh concert, the authorities banned certain songs with mentions of alcohol. The advisory, issued by CCPCR chairperson Shipra Bansal on Thursday, specifically referenced songs such as Patiala Peg, 5 Tara and Case’.
Diljit Dosanjh had declared that he would stop singing any songs on alcohol during his concert in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He said, “Today, I won’t sing those songs either. It’s simple for me to adjust my lyrics. Main khud sharab nahi peete (I don’t drink alcohol). It’s easy for me. But Bollywood artists promote alcohol ads—Diljit Dosanjh doesn’t. Don’t provoke me. I quietly do my shows and leave. Why are you bothering me?”
